Vaccine for funeral service staff

The delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine to funeral staff is proving to be inconsistent across Britain. SAIF has received reports that some Clinical Commissioning Groups and GP surgeries are booking funeral staff for the vaccination.

However, it remains the case that many others are still to advise how funeral directors will access the jab. SAIF and colleagues at the Deceased Management Advisory Group (DMAG) are pursuing this urgently with the Ministry of Justice for England and the Scottish Government, and it is hoped fresh information will be available on 13th January. In readiness for the guidance, please prepare this template letter.
