We need your urgent help. Following publication of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) Provisional Decision Report (“PDR”), the future of the independent funeral profession is at stake. We urge you to read this information fully and take action on, for your own business future and that of the independent funeral sector. Please check your email inbox for our email posted on 24th August (may also be read on the Members’ secure area here.) The information is also being posted to arrive from 26th August onwards. These PDR presents threats to your future and your community. SAIF now needs every member to: 2. Write to the Chairman of the CMA Funeral Investigation Panel: (i) Clearly stating your objections to the CMA PDR (summarised in the first set of four bullet points) and explain the detriment to your business We urge you to write by Friday 28th August, via email, to ask for the response timeline to the PDR to be extended from 10th September to 8th October; and if commenting on the wider elements of the PDR by the current deadline by post by 7th September, and by email by 9th September.
