SAIF Webinar – maintaining a bereavement support group during Covid-19

25/06/2020   //   No Comments

How do you continue to provide an essential bereavement support group when social distancing measures are enforced? What help can you give mainly elderly computer illiterate people at a time when they are isolated and vulnerable to mental health issues?

Chris Parker FSAIF, retired Managing Director of Abbey Funerals in Tonbridge, describes how her bereavement support charity Friends Together, is using free tools such as PowWowNow and Zoom to continue to provide services in the current situation and potentially beyond Covid-19.

Learn how the group supports a range of people including those newly bereaved people to those who have been attending since the group’s inception 15 years ago and covering a range of ages and technical abilities.

SAIF thanks Chris for creating this informative webinar for SAIF Members. Chris Parker is a Fellow of SAIF, currently Governor of the Independent Funeral Director College and is a SAIF Past President.
