SAIF recently highlighted the ground-breaking research on suicide with the accounts of more than 7,000 people who have been affected by someone taking their own life in the UK.

Led by the University of Manchester in collaboration with the Support After Suicide Partnership (SASP), the research is the largest suicide bereavement survey internationally. The study was discussed on the BBC News to help raise awareness of the difficulties those bereaved or affected by suicide face and the level of unmet need.

SASP is asking all partners to share the key resources to help address one of the government priorities ‘to provide better information and support to those bereaved or affected by suicide.’
