New Channel 4 series allows people to speak from ‘beyond the grave’

Channel 4 has commissioned Naked TV to produce Ghost, a profoundly moving, revelatory and ultimately uplifting television first.  Ghost is a 3 x 60 minute series that captures the journey of six terminally ill people who create incredible experiences to comfort the loved ones they are leaving behind, which will be delivered after their death.

Across the series these contributors, ranging in age, background and family situations, will write and record messages for their closest relatives and loved ones.  Using cutting edge holographic technology, Naked TV enables these deeply personal missives to be delivered post mortem, by the subjects themselves in vivid, three-dimensional, holographic form, allowing them to appear as if from beyond the grave.

Each contributor will create three or four personal messages, offering comfort, closure, support and advice that they couldn’t or wouldn’t whilst alive, and encouraging those they love to move forward, heal old wounds, or chase their dreams.

Jonah Weston, Commissioning Editor Specialist Factual said, “Death is the ultimate taboo and I think many people find it hard to say what they really feel in those last moments. To have the chance to leave messages and final wishes for the people you love most is an incredible opportunity, and I am humbled by the people taking part and excited by seeing what they say from ‘beyond the grave.”

Naked TV are looking for “extraordinary individuals with 12 months or less to live who’d like to leave messages for their loved ones that will impact their lives forever.” Email the company here.
