Scam warning: claims Nottinghamshire County Council

SAIF Business Centre heard from two funeral director members recently who have received a phone call from a Christopher Sheppard claiming to be a bailiff from Nottinghamshire County Council. The man stated that the companies needed to pay over £4,000 in relation to an advertising bill otherwise they would be served with  a writ.

The telephone number to the council is correct but the man’s number isn’t genuine.
