Update from the Lead Medical Examiner for Wales

From 9th September 2024 all deaths in any health setting that are not investigated by a coroner will be reviewed by NHS medical examiners. This will be rolled out across Wales, as well as England.

How will the changes affect your funeral business? 

Join our online meeting to learn about the new processes and documentation which will be implemented in Wales. Dr Jason Shannon, the Lead Medical Examiner for Wales, will explain what will happen across the Health Boards in Wales.

Dr Shannon has previously presented to SAIF Members, at the SAIF Education Day in Cardiff in November 2023.

SAIF’s Government Liaison, Paul Allcock and CEO, Terry Tennens will host the meeting. All members in Wales are encouraged to join.
