SAIF members are invited to support the President’s Biggest Coffee Morning from 20 July to 16 August 2026, raising funds for Parkinson’s UK, Gary Staker’s President’s Charity of the Year.
Members can host a coffee morning, take an hour with their team, invite their local community or donate online through the SAIF JustGiving page.
Why Parkinson’s UK
Each SAIF National President chooses a charity to support during their term. Gary chose Parkinson’s UK after hearing how deeply the condition can affect both the person living with Parkinson’s and the family around them.
A simple way to bring people together
A coffee morning is a simple way for members, branches and associate members to connect with colleagues, local people and community groups while supporting an important cause.
It also reflects the role independent funeral directors play at the heart of their communities.
No event needs to be large or formal. A coffee and a conversation can be enough.
How to take part
Between 20 July and 16 August, members can:
- Host a coffee morning with their team
- Invite local contacts, community groups or nearby businesses
- Take an hour for a virtual or in-person coffee break
- Share the campaign QR code or JustGiving link
- Donate online
- Share photos or updates with SAIF
Members can also join Gary for a virtual coffee date. The date and time will be shared once confirmed

Ideas for your coffee morning
Your event can be as simple as tea, coffee and cake. You could also hold a small raffle, display a donation tin, invite local groups or share information about Parkinson’s UK.
Members can use Parkinson’s UK materials, including downloadable resources, cake toppers and Turn It Blue items, subject to availability.
No event is too small. Every cup of coffee and every conversation can help support people affected by Parkinson’s.
