Event Date: 12th December 2021

woman using pcFinancial Conduct Authority (FCA) Regulation: Appointed Representative Status – Next Steps

In this webinar we consider the next steps of preparing for the FCA’s regulation of the Pre-Paid Funeral Plans market sector, which takes effect from 29th July 2022.

The FCA regulation covers:

  • providers: firms that enter into funeral plan contracts with consumers and/or which carry out funeral plan contracts that have previously been agreed (including those sold before FCA regulation)
  • intermediaries: firms that advise customers on funeral plan contracts or arrange them for customers (this may include funeral directors and will writers)

SAIF Members may read our FCA bulletins on the SAIF Members’ area here.

If  you are a provider, your funeral plan company, known as the principal firm, will apply from 1st September 2021 to the FCA. In this webinar, a panel of experts from Golden Charter outline how the company is preparing Funeral Directors for FCA Regulation. SAIF Chief Executive, Terry Tennens, hosts the session with Malcolm Flanders, Director of Emerging Market Insight; Mark Moran, Director of Sales; and  Louise Love, Business Compliance Manager.
