Are you offering SAIF Care Bereavement Services to your clients yet?August 6, 2018 // No Comments
The SAIF Care Bereavement service began in in January this year, with a formal launch at our AGM in March. Since then we have been delighted to welcome well in excess of 125 SAIF member businesses to the service. Through this network of over 260 funeral director branches offering the service, we are able to offer bereaved people right across the UK appropriate and timely care and counselling following their bereavement.
The service is being promoted by media articles released to local press by members and via Facebook and Twitter (@SAIFCareUK). We would love it if you would follow us (we’ll follow you back!) and tweet about us or retweet our content as often as possible. In the coming months we plan to set up a SAIF Bereavement Care website with lots of helpful bereavement information and resources.
We have seen the number of referrals to the service increase on a month by month basis and have so far certainly been supporting the sharp end of the bereavements faced by the families you serve. We are working with quite a large number of individuals bereaved in particularly difficult or complex circumstances and know that while we can’t fix their pain or change what has happened, we can walk beside them as they begin to navigate through their grief and look towards a different but still hopeful future.
We have been really pleased to chat with a good number of members about what we offer and how the service works and hope to speak to each and every business that joins as soon as we can – and on that note, please keep joining! Membership of SAIF Care can be take up at any point in the year (not just at renewal time) and you can begin to offer the benefits of a first-class bereavement service very quickly upon joining.
