Air pollution is one of the most significant environmental and public health issues facing London today. To address the issue of poor air quality and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the London Mayor and TfL have set out plans for an Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). The ULEZ will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, within the same area as the current Congestion Charging Zone (CCZ), coming into force in September 2020.  Further information can be found on the TfL website here .
This survey has been designed to collect information for an Economic and Business Impact Assessment for a proposed expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone. The first phase is the proposed expansion of the ULEZ from Central London to London-wide for heavy vehicles (Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs), buses and coaches) by 2020. The other phase proposed is extending the ULEZ from Central London up to the North and South Circular roads for all vehicles (including cars) by 2021.The ULEZ standard is:
– Euro 3 for motorcycles – approximately vehicles registered in 2007 and after.
– Euro 4 for petrol cars, vans and minibuses – approximately vehicles registered in 2005 and after.
– Euro 6 for diesel cars, vans and minibuses – approximately vehicles registered in 2015 and after.
– Euro 6 for lorries, buses and coaches – approximately vehicles registered in 2014 and after.Depending on the size and nature of the vehicle fleet that you operate, we would expect this survey to take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete.  Please note: This survey is only relevant to those organisations that operate their own or use long term leased vehicles in Greater London. If your organisation does not own or use vehicles with a lease over one year long in Greater London please do not complete. Click here to complete the survey.
