Find out about being a compassionate employer

The Compassionate Employer programme has been developed by the National Council for Palliative Care (NCPC) working with a group of expert advisors and authors who specialise in bereavement support.  It provides practical resources developed by experts to help employers respond effectively to the needs of a bereaved person in the workplace and is the only programme that offers a trademark CE award logo for organisations that meet the assessment criteria.

Organisations which sign up to the programme benefit from:

• Help to offer improved support to employees when they are bereaved, or a carer of a terminally ill person

• Improved staff morale, employee retention and overall reputation by offering good support

• Reduced costs of employee attrition caused by poor bereavement support

• The resources we offer are tried and tested and have been developed by experts in the area of bereavement support
