Next stage of the Small Business Act due in April

March 7, 2016   //   No Comments

The Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act is being implemented in stages between October 2015 and late 2016.

The Act contains a number of measures which together represent significant change for companies and Companies House customers.  The measures that affect companies aim to reduce red tape whilst increasing the quality of information on the public register and enhance transparency and ensure the UK is seen as a trusted and fair place to do business.

April will see the next stage of changes to be implemented concerning:

  • Check and confirm
  • People with significant control (PSC)
  • Company registers
  • Directors misconduct
  • Statement of capital

All companies will be affected by at least some changes, as the measures will change legal requirements on companies, including what they file with Companies House.  Read SAIF’s briefing note on the Act here by logging onto the Members’ area of the website.
