88% of employees experience stress at work

The government’s website FitForWork recently reported on new research by human capital management firm ADP.  The research found that 88% of UK respondents regularly experience stress at work.  Entitled The workforce view in Europe 2015/16, the report surveyed 11,257 working adults across Europe, including 1,500 employees in the UK.

Among the UK employees, the research found:

  • 43% say that stress is a constant factor in their roles and that they feel stressed often or very often.
  • 79% feel that their employer is trying to help them manage stress levels.
  • 36% would like a mixture of flexible and fixed hours.
