Happy Christmas to SAIF Members

December 24, 2015   //   No Comments

SAIF Business Centre wishes all Members a Happy Christmas and hope that you manage to get a break, despite the funeral profession carrying on business as usual regardless of the bank holidays.  Statistics show that people don’t stop dying for the Christmas season, but that mortality rates usually spike in the festive period.

Along with emergency services, hospitals and funeral professionals, telephone support lines are crucial at this time of year.  Christmas is a difficult time for recently bereaved people and those who feel the heavy burden of loss more at this time. One such organisation, Cruse Bereavement Care, has launched an appeal to raise the £20,000 needed to keep their helpline open over the whole festive period and into 2016. cruse logo

Cruse client and new helpline volunteer Stephanie says, “What I would say to anyone this Christmas is be brave. If you need help because you’ve been bereaved don’t be afraid to pick up the phone and call the Helpline on 0844 477 9400.”

You can support the appeal here.
