Funeral magazine recently discussed photography of funerals

The article features an interview with Australian photographer John Slaytor, who photographs all family events, including christenings, weddings and funerals.  Photography at funerals has become more popular as the trend moves for funerals to be seen as life celebrations, along with other key family events.  As John states, ““Funerals celebrate and honour a life and deserve to be chronicled. ”

John works in Sydney and is mainly used by families to record the funeral for friends and family overseas who are unable to attend but photographs can also be a useful tool in the grieving process.  You may read the full interview on the Funeral Magazine website here.
