SAIF Regional Meeting Schedule Kicks off in Coventry

March 24, 2015   //   No Comments

SAIF’s 2015 series of regional meetings begins in Coventry on 14th April.

In 2014 we were delighted that almost 400 people travelled to their local SAIF regional meeting to keep up to date with the latest news from SAIF, listen to interesting presentations on a range of funeral related topics and to enjoy a meal with other funeral professionals.

This year we hope to see even more SAIF members turn out to their local events.  Members living in the Midlands are invited to attend our first regional meeting, which will take place at the Novotel, Coventry on 14th April from 6.45 pm.  The hotel is easily accessible, located at Junction 3 of the M6.  We have changed the format slightly for 2015 so that the event begins with a meal, which is followed by presentations and discussions.

In line with SAIF’s campaign to help our members become more dementia friendly in running their funeral business, we’re delighted that Glenn Knight of training2care will be the guest speaker at most of the meetings.  Glenn’s company holds the UK licence for the Virtual Dementia Tour, a hands-on, sensitivity training programme which gives people a greater understanding of the physical and mental challenges faced by people with dementia.  Attendees will learn about the training and find out suggestions to help their business become more dementia friendly.

SAIF is also running a series of heavily subsidised First Aid courses at each regional meeting location.  The courses are limited to a maximum of 12 places and each place costs £50 for a SAIF member and £60 for a non member.  For further information, please click here.
