January – SAIF launched its membership development drive; its success is far beyond anyone’s predictions. We launched our 25th anniversary celebration.

February – We were pleased to report a very high level of subscription renewals and the AGM weekend hotel in Southport had been SOLD OUT!

March – The best ever attendance at the SAIF AGM & Banquet, who said people wouldn’t travel to Southport? Mark Woollard succeeded Richard Edwards as National President.

April – The season of regional meetings started with an excellent turnout in Durham. First meeting held at Beaumont Estates, Old Windsor in preparation for 2015 AGM & Banquet.

May – Regional meeting in Newmarket, must remember to book a larger room for 2015! Plans announced for SAIF Education Day

June – launched SAIF’s wish to support the work of the Child Bereavement Trust and National Aids Trust. In both cases to raise awareness amongst members of work we can do in the community. A chance, personally, to mix pleasure with business interest with a visit to the Battlefields of Europe.

July – SAIF were in attendance at the launch of the Child Funeral Charity at the National Memorial Arboretum, what an amazing place! A visit to Liverpool where SAIF was nominated in two categories at the Trade Association Awards. No wins but good to have our work recognised.

August – A quiet month which allows time to finalise plans for the 25th Anniversary Party in September.

September – It’s Party Time! An amazing evening of celebration enjoyed by almost 200 folks out to enjoy themselves. SGM held to agree 2.5% increase in subs for 2015. Essex regional meeting attendees learn about the Virtual Dementia Tour.

October – Such was the positive feedback on Glenn Knight’s Dementia presentation, Kent members get the same but with the National President actually undergoing the experience.

Quality inspections changes and procedures are reviewed in readiness for 2015.

November – SAIF Education Day proved very successful, with a good number of attendees and excellent presentations by a number of speakers on differing topics. Subscription renewals hit the doormats, first renewal is received just 21 hours after posting. How good is that?

December – Christmas time…Everyone at SAIF wish you and yours a very happy Christmas time and all good wishes for whatever 2015 brings!
