CoSHH: do you know your obligations?

July 25, 2014   //   No Comments

SAIF thanks Simon Bloxham of the OSS group for this update on Hazardous Substances – CoSSH.

CoSHH stands for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health and is the regulation that requires employers to control substances that are dangerous to health. Most businesses use substances, or products that are mixtures of substances.  Some processes create substances. These could cause harm to employees, contractors and other people.  Sometimes substances are easily recognised as harmful. Common substances such as paint, bleach or dust from natural materials may also be harmful though.

SAIF Members may Logon to the Members’ Area and learn about your obligations as an employer and those of your employees.  Simon’s report is available here.
