Church of England’s response to lack of grave space

The Telegraph reported on 27th January that, amid warnings that Britain could run out of burial space by the end of this decade, the Church of England is to charge half the fee to bereaved families who opt for cremation instead of traditional burial for their loved ones.   The proposal needs to be approved by the Church’s General Synod as it requires a change in ecclesiastical law.
