SAIF Mentioned on BBC News with Pace4LifeNovember 19, 2013 // No Comments
SAIF was mentioned on BBC News today in conjunction with Pace4Life for our support of recycling pacemakers with Pace4Life.
SAIF Member Jo Parker of Abbey Funeral Services in Tonbridge, Kent has today conducted interviews with BBC Radio Stations in Worcester & Herefordshire, Coventry & Gloucester, Scotland, Northampton, Oxford and Belfast.
Jo also recently took part in an interview with Ian Palmer from BBC South East Today. The interview on November 5th highlighted charity Pace4Life’s work in promoting the collection and reuse of pacemakers for people in the developing world.
Jo is working with Pace4Life’s founder Balasundaram Lavan to encourage SAIF Members to get involved. There are certain requirements to be met, such as needing consent from the deceased’s family. Full information, including how to transport the pacemaker to the charity, is provided in this document: Pacemaker Reuse and Recycling Overview
